Paolo Bartolomei is a charismatic Italian performer, born in Rome who completed his acting training at the National Theatre Drama School in Melbourne, Australia in 2019. He initially trained in Italy as a dancer in Classical, Modern and Flamenco styles, spending a number of years performing around the country. He then moved on to train in Musical Theatre, Cinema and Stage Acting, studying at Teatro Golden Academy where he won ‘The Golden Theatre Scholarship’ in 2015. In 2016, he continued his studies at The European Academy of Theatre and Cinema, where his work was selected to be performed at the Lo Spazio Theatre in Rome.
Paolo was the first Student Visa of the National Theatre Drama School in Melbourne and in 2018 he won ‘The Florence Young Scholarship’ for professional potential and dedication. There, he directed performance art piece ‘Eating Copper’, produced the show “Stay” and later worked with Julie Nolan for the Red Leap Theatre in Auckland, New Zealand.
Paolo has continued his performing as a dancer, receiving an invitation to perform at the Diamond Gala and in the piece 'First Nature' for the National Theatre Ballet School in 2019, along with ‘Così Fan Tutti Frutti’ with Emotionworks. His recent acting credits include 'Pains of Youth' at the Alex Theatre, ‘Stay’ at Chapel Off Chapel and 'Circuit', a solo performance with The Anchor theatre company that toured to the 2020 Art Not aPart Festival in Canberra.
